The Land Rover LR4 is considered to be the fourth generation vehicle for the premium midsized SUV’s designed and manufactured by Land Rover. It is found to be the most advanced version of its predecessors.  The updates from LR3 to LR4 comprise of new and a more powerful LR V8 engine along with improvements to the exterior and interior look, and also driving and technology which offers a more user friendliness. In 2011 model of Land Rover LR4, the 2.7 engine was discontinued and the 3.0 liter was introduced. It can in two different versions, the TDV6 and the SDV6.

The 2012 version of Land Rover LR4t now has a with 5.0 liter V8 motor. It also boasts a revised navigation system with touch screen option and voice activation. The audio systems available are either a 825 watt by Harmon-Kardon or a Login Seven series with 17 high end speakers. The entertainment system offered for the rear seats is provided with wireless headphone from WhiteFire. The wheel size has been increased to 19 to 20 inch. Land Rover obtains both engines designs from the model Gen III of Jaguar.
