The Toyota Venza is built from 2009-present here in America and is a mid-size crossover SUV. For 2009-2010 Toyota offers a 2.7 liter 1AR 4 cylinder engine and a more powerful 3.5 liter 2GR V6 motor. These engines are also used in the Toyota Camry, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Sienna, Lexus ES350 and also the RX350. Both the 2.7 liter and the 3.5 liter version have only 1 option for the transmission, it is a 6 speed automatic.

The Venza is equipped with only 1 trim level for 2009-2011 unlike the RAV4 and the Camry. This car has a long list on amenities that come standard from the factory. Some of these include 20” alloy wheels, HomeLink system, 8-way power driver’s seat, electrochromatic auto-dimming rear-view mirror and Hill-Start assist control. Some of the major optins include automatic high beam headlights, power liftgate, smart key system, Bluetooth connectivity, voice-activated touch-screen navigation with DVD. For 2010 the Venza from the factory includes Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and a USB port for a media device like the iPhone or iPod.

The 2012 Venza now has 3 option packages available, these are an LE, XLE and the Limited versions. The LE is now the base model and the XLE has more factory options pre-installed. Both of these models are available in a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and for the first time all-wheel drive is an option. The Limited package is a 3.5 liter V6 only with FWD or all-wheel drive are the transmission options.

The latest 2013 has some redesigns to the body and wheels. A big hit for consumers is the new Toyota Entune system. This new addition allows you to connect a variety of devices like the Apple iPod, Apple iPhone, RIM Blackberry or an Android just to name a few. Now these devices are accessed from the steering wheel which allows eye free operation and hand free operation like sending a text or playing music.
